Journaling With Zoomin Notebooks

Ever had days when your head is full of thoughts, broken conversations, pieces of ideas & everything that makes your day tough? “Journaling is like whispering to one’s self and listening at the same time.” – Mina Murray. A magical art form that introduces you to things that you didn’t know were within you. It’s magical, therapeutic & helpful.

The seamless benefits of journaling on our mental health & upliftment will surprise you. But what is Journaling? To write your thinking and fill the paper with the breathings of your heart. In simple words, journaling is about maintaining a journal/notebook like the “my diary” from old school life where you explore & record the feelings, thoughts around the events of your life. Journaling has a broad spectrum to classify journaling types like bullet journals, art journals, morning, gratitude journals & so on.

Journaling is quite popular among all age groups who like to pen down their brain dump into white papers & fill it with words, inks, scribbles, sketches, artworks. While you can always journal your daily life, ideas, feelings & personal letters you can take a step ahead and try the much-hyped creative journaling. All you need is a pen & a notebook ( with your name)

Journaling helps you to break down your complex thoughts into simple things which is easy to achieve. Thinking in writing is magical but doable in action. Your goals are clear, plans are organized and you remember well.

Types of journals

“I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.” Anne Frank

Gratitude journal

“People who keep journals have life twice.” Jessamyn West

It will change your entire life orientation from scarcity to abundance. Being grateful for all that you have in life & thanking the almighty. Gratitude journals are a way of living for many who practice the habit of thankfulness & gratitude. Simply self-introspecting into your soul and being thankful for the blessings will make you a happier person and give you strength.

Bullet journal

“Keeping a journal of what’s going on in your life is a good way to help you distill what’s important and what’s not.” Martina Navratilova

Bulleting is about organizing. Remember Monica from Friends who likes to keep things organized? You can say she is a living bullet journal. Staying organized, placing your thoughts beautifully on paper, making a to-do list for self ( and for everyone), reminders & brainstorming. Yeah, we all do it already.

How to start?

Just sit & write. You don’t have to make it look beautiful or worry about your handwriting because no one is going to read it. It’s your personal journal and you are doing it for yourself. Sit for 5-10 minutes & slowly make it a habit to sit every day to write having your tea or before you start your day.

Mind-map, outline your vision, doodle, draw, sketch, make a gratitude list, list your short-term and long-term dreams, write down everything you are curious about, a new discovery that surprised you, a thought that you want to blog about, list your passion projects and create a brain dump, make a daily entry of needs to be done, reflect on your budget & expenses – investment plans, reflect on your accomplishments, etc.
Just get all the ideas out on paper and push yourself to see if more are hanging around in the background of your mind.

The benefits of journaling are many. All you have to do is Be You.

Achieve mindfulness, improved IQ, remember better, take better decisions, accomplish goals, calm your inner demons, curb anxiety, strengthen self-discipline, healing, be creative, improve self-confidence and be positive.
