Dear Akanksha supporter,
Thank you for your contributions towards educating and empowering the lives of over 9300 students across 21 Akanksha Schools in Mumbai and Pune. For a family from a disadvantaged community, education is the only way to get rid of the shackles of poverty. Akanksha aims to bring a positive and memorable school experience for thousands of children in the cities of Mumbai and Pune for whom the school is akin to home.
These first-generation learners do not have an environment that is conducive to learning at home. School, therefore becomes their space where they can be themselves.
Unlike children from middle and high-income families, children from low-income backgrounds do not have access to opportunities and extracurricular activities. Akanksha schools aim to provide these opportunities in the school itself and thereby build a strong future for children who would otherwise be neglected by society.
Your contribution allows us to support thousands of children in Akanksha schools to enable them to get an education they deserve.
