How much does it cost to store my photos on ZoomIn?

It's free! As a ZoomIn member, you can upload and share as many photos as you'd like.

How do I upload my photos to ZoomIn?

Once you've signed up as a ZoomIn member, uploading photos to your account is simple:

Your First Time Uploading:

  1. Sign in to your ZoomIn user account
  2. Click on the "Create your new Album" button
  3. Choose a name for your Album
  4. Click the "Browse" button and choose the photos you'd like to upload from your Computer
  5. You can select multiple photos from your Computer by simply dragging the selection or pressing shift or ctrl
  6. Once you have selected your photos click the "Upload" button

All Future Uploads:

  1. Sign in to your ZoomIn user account
  2. From the "My Albums" page, click the "Add New Album" tab
  3. Select "Create new Album" and type in a name for your Album OR choose to add photos to an existing Album by selecting that Album from the drop-down
  4. Click the "Upload Photos" button
  5. Click the "Browse" button and choose the photos you'd like to upload from your Computer
  6. You can select multiple photos from your Computer by simply dragging the selection or pressing shift or ctrl
  7. Once you have selected your photos click the "Upload" button

How long does it take to upload photos?

There are many factors that influence upload time, including the speed of your connection and the size of your photos. The faster your Internet connection, the less time it will take to upload your photos. During the upload process we will provide you with an "Estimated time left" for your upload. Remember - do not leave the upload page while the upload is in progress. Clicking on any link or button on that page will interrupt the upload.

How do I enable Javascript in my browser?

ZoomIn requires JavaScript to be enabled for upload to work correctly. If you receive a message that you need to enable Javascript follow the steps below for your browser:

Internet Explorer 6 and 7

Select Tools | Internet Options… menu item from the main menu. Change to the Security tab at the top of the Internet Options window that pops up. From the list of zones at the top of the Security options select the internet icon. Select the button near the bottom that reads Custom Level. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads Active Scripting. Select the option marked Enable.

Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and 2.0

Select Tools | Options... from the main menu. Select Content button from the top row of options. Select "Enable JavaScript." (You do not need to enable Java, but it is OK if you do.)

Safari

Select Preferences from the Safari menu. Select Security tab at the top. Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked.

What format do my photos need to be in order to upload them to ZoomIn?

You can upload the following types of digital photos from your computer to your ZoomIn account:
.jpg
.jpeg

What if I don't have a digital camera, can I still store my photos on ZoomIn?

Currently, you can only store photos on ZoomIn that are uploaded to your account via the ZoomIn website. However, we hope to soon add the ability for you to mail photos or undeveloped film to ZoomIn and have them posted to your account.

How can I import my photos from Flickr?

ZoomIn provides you with an easy way to bring your Flickr photos into your ZoomIn account:

  1. Sign in to your ZoomIn user account
  2. From the "My Albums" page click on the "Import from Flickr" link
  3. When prompted, sign in to your Flickr account
  4. Choose the sets you would like imported to ZoomIn and click the "Import" button

How long will ZoomIn store my photos in my account?

ZoomIn will continue to store your photos for as long as your account is active, or until you choose to delete them.
